Terms and Conditions


“You” means you the client and your guests.

“Purple Star ” means us the service provider.

Agreement to Online Terms and Conditions:

In the event of any conflict, these Terms and Conditions shall be taken as ‘those in place’ and be taken as those in place over any other wording on our website. These may be changed at any time by Purple Star Photo Booths and must be in place for a minimum of 10 days prior to any event otherwise previous terms and conditions will apply. Other terms shall only be agreed in writing by Purple Star Photo Booth.

Terms of Booking:

The Terms and Conditions on the website at the time of your event will apply.

Booking Form:

We require booking forms to be completed and returned by email in order to place the booking. All details stated on the booking form will be taken as given unless we are otherwise notified in email or writing.


A minimum £100 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking. As soon as the deposit is paid to Purple Star, we will reserve your requested date. The remainder of the balance will be due 14 days prior to hire.


Your deposit is a non refundable deposit however the date can be changed as long as we have been notified a minimum of 3 months from your existing booking date and as long as the new date requested is available.

Photo Booth Attendants:

Purple Star will not tolerate any type of threatening or unruly behaviour towards our photo booth attendants, Such behaviour will result in the immediate shut down of the booth. If we do terminate the contract for the above the full cost of hire will remain with Purple Star and we will not issue any refunds for any period of the hire not carried out.

Set Up of Booth:

Purple Star will arrive to set up approximately 1 hour prior to specified start time of hire. If you require the booth to be set up earlier you will need to notify us up to 7 days before the event. It is up to you to notify and agree with your chosen venue for Purple Star to be in attendance at the agreed time and location.

Venue Access and Location:

Purple Star must be provided with the correct address for the venue, it is your responsibility to provide this information to Purple Star. You must ensure there will be suitable parking facilities at your chosen venue for the duration of your booking and reasonable access for both loading and unloading of equipment.

Hire Period:

The hire start time must be agreed by both parties from the start. Use of the booth will start at the agreed time and will finish at the agreed time. If for any instance there is a delay in starting on time due to poor access or venue restrictions we will still keep to the agreed period of hire. If your event starts or runs late, our hire will still be for the agreed start and finish time, unless both parties agree to provide additional hours as per addition charge.

Events beyond our Control:

Purple Star will endeavour to attend all events. Where circumstances make this impossible due to, but not limited to adverse weather conditions, Purple Star will contact you as early as possible and a full refund will be given. Purple Star reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time.

Traffic Delays or Vehicle Breakdowns:

Purple Star will always try to arrive at the venue for the agreed time. Where circumstances make this difficult due to severe traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns, Purple Star will extend the end time of the hire to make up for the late start. If this is not possible we will refund you accordingly the amount of time delayed by and in proportion to the amount paid.

Termination of Hire:

Purple Star will not tolerate any abuse or threatening behaviour towards our staff as well as not tolerating any abuse of the booth or booth equipment. If any behaviour of this nature does occur Purple Star has the right to terminate the hire immediately. This applies equally to your guests. Purple Star may also terminate the hire when our staff feel that equipment belonging to Purple Star or the booth itself is in danger of damage due to unruly behaviour. If we do terminate the contract for any of the above the full cost of hire will remain with Purple Star and we will not issue any refunds for any period of the hire not carried out. You will be fully responsible for any damages caused by you, guests or any other attendees of your event to the booth and the booth equipment.

Technical Problems:

If the photo booth is out of use due to technical difficulties, we shall refund you accordingly for the amount of time that the booth has been out of operation and in the proportion to the amount paid for.

Privacy Policy:

Purple Star records information about you that was provided on the booking forms. Purple Star will never sell or share any details about you with any third party company.

Use of Photos:

You agree that all images taken by Purple Star can be uploaded to the online web gallery, We reserve the right not to upload any images that may cause offence or ones containing nudity. All images taken by Purple Star during events may be used by us for the promotion of Purple Star unless stated otherwise. This may include printed publications as well as online images. We will not use any pictures that may cause offence or embarrassment to the people in the pictures. We will immediately remove any picture from our website if requested to.


Purple Star will act in what it considers to be the best interest of the client and will take steps when required to act to protect the health and safety of people using the booth. Where such actions lead to an early closure of the booth, removal from the service of the booth or any actions likely to cause distress or dissatisfaction, Purple Star will limit any refunds to the amount of the original booking. This applies to all cases. In no way will this effect general public liabilities or employers liability insurance matters, which are covered separately.
